Do you feel you are not playing to your full potential? Optimising your natural ability through correct thinking will enhance your overall game.
Mastery of the mechanics of the physical game requires mastery of the game in your head. What investment have you made to master your inner game – the game in your head? Has your investment to date consisted of a new set of clubs, a change of caddy or improving your backswing?
Whatever you have done, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome can be costly.
I have a different take on this.
Much has been said and written about the mechanics of golf. However, by how much would your game improve if you could prevent your mind from interfering?
Successful golf comprises two games: The outer game is played against the obstacles presented by the course and for an external incentive (whatever that might be). The other, the inner game, is played against internal mental and emotional obstacles for the reward of increasing self realisation – that is, the understanding and application of your true potential.
"It is recognised that both inner and outer games go on simultaneously, so the choice is not which one to play, but which one deserves priority" (Gallwey; 1974).
What do you think the advantage would be if you were able to optimise your free time between shots in ways that are useful and do not interfere with your stroke play and decision making?
Without meeting you I cannot be sure of exactly what is robbing you personally of a successful performance. However, I do know that I am an expert at listening and formulating useful questions that will help you improve your game.
Let's make contact and arrange to get together. Between us we will figure out solutions – finding the balance between talking and playing; questions and answers; holding on and letting go. Let us master the enemy within and establish some wholesome inner game routines.
My approach is interactive and very engaging. Only one question should drive your golfing investment with me: How much positive progress will you make in improving your game?
Costs to be agreed. There is no set programme; only doing what is useful.
